CBT and Fibromyalgia

I am currently running two support groups consisting of Fibromyalgia patients and teaching them to use CBT as a way of coping stress and minimizing pain levels with very good results thus far. Out of 40 patients at least half have reported diminished pain levels and the need for prescription pain medications to drop by at least 20%.
Has anyone else read reports on this or know of any other groups attempting to use CBT for Fibromyalgia or other pain related medical issues?

Larceny Support Groups?

I work in CT with women who have been and are currently incarcerated. The majority of the womens' offenses is theft however there are no support groups that offer help for this. Does anyone know if there are trainings available where I can learn how to run these groups? Please advise with any recommendations!

Life is a Journey

My life truly has been a journey. The journey led me from being a business executive in Chicago to a licensed therapist in Southern CA. We have life born out of love, relationship with family, friends and co-workers and we have loss of people, pets, homes, jobs and dreams.

The journey does not always follow the route we planned or thought of. There are detours and roadblocks and beautiful scenery that can take your breath away. We never know what’s around the next corner. What we do have… Continue
